When I recieved the screening passes to Confessions of a Shopaholic at the El Capitan, I didn't expect the event would be a special screening. The movie was introduced by producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director P.J. Hogan. Many cast members were present, mostly extras and the crew who helped make the film.
The film was enjoyable with lots of laughs, Isla Fisher played the quirky shopaholic, Rebecca Bloomwood. Isla and Hugh Dancy are a great match on screen and Krysten Ritter who plays the forgiving best friend is very entertaining. I loved Joan Cusack and John Goodman as the loving practical parents who you can't take anywhere. Even though the movie is predictable, I loved the story anyway, it reminds us of how we all have gotten into credit card debt. I like the way Rebecca Bloomwood resolves her problems in the end, it send a great message.
