The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson Show

We were lucky enough to get tickets to the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Unfortunately we weren't able to take cameras and cell phones into the studio, but we had a blast watching the taping with Gerard Butler as the guest.

After the show taping we went to dinner at Shin's. Dinner was wonderful as always, thanks to Simon Shin. If you are ever in Hollywood make sure you have dinner at Shin's.

The Ugly Truth Premiere

All my girlfriends arrived into town for the Ugly Truth Premiere. To start the day we had a relaxing lunch at the Roosevelt Hotel before we headed over to the Cinerama Dome.

The day was a typical for a hot Southern California summer, so we decided not to stand in the sun. We relaxed at Club Sushi, sipping drinks, and eating on the shady patio.

We picked up a young man, Ben, who was in line alone. Ben agreed, we were the Wild Bunch!

Once inside the Cinerama Dome, we watched as the stars outside made their way across the red carpet through the windows. I love premieres at the Cinerama Dome. It's smaller, yes, but you miss seeing the red carpet experience if you are inside at Grauman's Chinese.

On our way to find our seats we spotted just about every member from the cast of Grey's Anatomy. Two handsome guys sat down next to me and I felt badly when I decided to make a trip to restroom. On the way back from the restroom the guy next to me teased me by saying I couldn't pass unless I said the secret pass word... I didn't know what to say and just smiled and said, "Pleeeesssseee?"

He laughed and let me pass. I noticed again what a cutie the guy was and the purple shirt he was wearing even in the dimly lit theater.

The lights flashed off and on so the room settled down waiting for the movie to begin. I turned and saw Gerard Butler find his seat about three or four rows behind us and to the left.

The movie was very raunchy, but laugh out loud funny. Even though it's a romantic comedy, I think it's one men can enjoy also.

After the movie we made our way up the isle. Stopped in the crowd of people, a woman near us yells, "Gerry do you have anymore gum?"

In the darkness I noticed how beautiful she was and the necklace she wore, a short choker length made up of multi strands of pearls.

In the row behind her, Gerry, short for Gerard, turns while looking in his pockets and says, "Sorry, no."

Still stuck behind the crowd moving up the isle, Gerard is now next to me, but with his back turned towards me because he is greeting someone.

Next thing I knew, Gerard is walking along making his way up the isle, I touched him on the arm, he turned and said, "Oh hello!"

He greeted me with a hug and a kiss. I think he asked me how I liked the movie, I told him I loved it, and then I introduced him to my friend Sandy. He shook Sandy's hand and they chatted while we walked up the isle with him and out to the lobby where we met up with the rest our group.

Gerard was generous, stopping to talk and take pictures with us in the lobby, he even introduced us to some of his friends as well as Mark Neveldine, one of the directors of him new movie, Gamer.

This is my most favorite photo of the night even though it's so bury. Gerard was getting ready to pose with Annette and Lynne, but his friend interrupted. Gerard turned, walked a few steps away, and spoke to his friend. We all looked at each other a little disappointed because we thought they had missed their opportunity. We all had the look of -- oh well at least they got to talk to Gerard. We couldn't move because a crowd had swelled around us following Gerard out the theater. Then all of a sudden Gerard turned and walked back to Annette and Lynne, pulled them close and asked, "Where were we girls?" He was already posing and leaning in! The look on Lynne's face -- PRICELESS! I think he's holding her up!

There were 3 cameras pointed at Maree and Gerard, this was the best picture, but they were looking at different cameras.

We had more pictures, but unfortunately they turned out terrible, taken with our cell phones and the bad lighting. We never know if we are allowed to bring cameras inside the theater, so we left them in the car. I was so disappointed when I saw people with cameras, oh well next time!

The premiere was great, Gerard, wonderful as always. I had opportunity to tell him, "I don't know how you do it, everyone yelling your name, it's crazy! Thank you so much, you're wonderful to take the time with us."

He shrugged. "I know, it's crazy." He grinned and gave me a hug.

PS A few days later my friend Sandy emailed to tell me I have to watch a video from the Red Carpet because the guy sitting next to me during the movie is in it! LOL! The guy sitting next was Rocco DiSpirito! And he was in the film, he plays the chef in the movie! LOL!

Also, after watching the Red Carpet video, I realized who the woman was asking Gerard for gum, Katherine Heigl! I know -- Duh! But to be fair, the house lights were still off and her hair was dyed brown!

Ruby Walk

Ruby on Style Network is one of my favorite shows. When I heard Ruby would be in my area to do a walk I had to go! I'm so happy I did because I got support Ruby. She is sooo sweet and adorable!

The Ruby Walk was held at the Santa Monica Pier and the Style Network people were so great. The walk was free, they gave us tee shirts, kept us hydrated and made sure everyone had a moment to meet Ruby.

The walk was relaxed and people could easily approach her to chat and say hi.

At the end of the pier I said hi to Ruby. She tanked me for coming and then gave me a hug and a kiss.

We got to do a little workout at the end of the pier. Ruby loves boxing!

Style Network set up a tent so we could all have the opportunity to greet Ruby. Again she is sooo sweet and adorable!

Movie Review ~ Hurt Locker

Hurt Locker, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, is the raw story of Army specialist in Iraq who volunteer for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), one of the most dangerous jobs -- disarming road side bombs. At times the movie is a bit over the top with Maverick EOD specialist, Staff Sergeant William James, played by Jeremy Renner, but the movie is very suspenseful. Many times I found myself holding my breath waiting for a bomb to go off. Anthony Mackie and Brian Geraghty were also excellent rounding out the EOD team.

Last night the Landmark theater had a special screening with a Q&A with Jeremy Renner directly following. Jeremy spoke about the difficulty filming the movie in such intense conditions, 125 degree heat, trying not to pass out in the bomb squad gear, and filming an Indy film in Jordan -- Intense and Amazing.

Movie Review: My Life in Ruins

I'm a huge fan of Nia Vardalos and My Big Fat Greek Wedding so I started following Nia on Twitter when I heard about her new movie My Life in Ruins. The movie hardly has a budget for advertising, so Nia has been basically doing a one woman advertising campaign.

On Friday I barely got to sleep and about 2:00 am my cell phone rang with a wrong number. I looked at my Blackberry and saw that dreaded red light blinking so I checked my email. There were a few Urgent messages from my friend Annette, of course I had to read the messages.

The messages were about Nia doing a Q&A at the Arclight after the screening! We had two choices, Friday night in Hollywood & Saturday night in Sherman Oaks. Both Annette and I had wanted to see the movie, but couldn't last week, well so much for getting much sleep!

By 5:30 in the afternoon we got things organized, bought tickets and on our way to Hollywood. I had told Annette that I read that Nia had Twittered she would be there that night as well as Alexis Georgoulis her co-star in the movie.

We decided to get front row, center tickets. The movie was so funny, many laugh out loud moments. The scenery is amazing and the Ruins, beautiful! I loved Alexis's transformation throughout the movie and Richard Dreyfuss was the best.

Well the movie was finished and Annette and I gripped hands, excited we were going to see Nia and Alexis! Nia is a kick, just a warm and genuine person. She and Alexis immediately moved their chairs closer to us. They were literally sitting three feet in front of us! We were the only ones in the first rows and everyone else was sitting in the stands. People started to moved down into the seats beside us.

Alexis' accent makes you swoon! Nia said a few things and thanked everyone for coming. She asked us to ask questions and she answered them all. Alexis was a little shy, but we loved every time he spoke.

I don't know how Annette does it, but she asked a great question about the comedy. She asked if Nia wrote it all or if some of it was add-libbed. Nia said there was a lot of add-libbing. Especially Richard Dreyfuss and the actors who played the American couple, Harland Williams and Rachel Dratch, so funny!

Nia asked how we found out about the movie and Annette told her about getting an email from the Arclight. All I managed to add was that I was following her on Twitter. She was so excited and thanked us for coming to support the movie. Nia asked us to spread the word.

Afterwards we asked for autographs and pictures with Nia and Alexis. There was a small crowd that stayed and talked with them. We were there until we got kicked out of the theater for the next show! LOL! Nia was the best and Alexis -- swoon!

Christian Bale @ the Terminator Salvation Premiere
